Live Stream In Any Social Media Platform With The Best Live Streaming Software and Apps

Best Live Streaming Software and Apps

In the world of social media, everyone enjoys the Livestream whether it as on Youtube, Twitch or any other live streaming platform so I think this would be a great time to share a full list of best live streaming options so that you can make sure that you're using the best option that's right for you. Some of the options I'm gonna be talking about are software-based, some are web-based and some are app-based. So whatever it is that you're doing, I've got you covered.

Since it's the easiest to use, let's start with web-based options.

Best Live Streaming Software

1. StreamYard

StreamYard is a web-based option that is, for lack of a better way to say it, it's the easiest streaming software I've ever used. Since it's web-based it doesn't matter what type of computer you have because it doesn't hog your resources like other live-streaming software does. So because of that, it's super easy on your computer. So if you have a computer that sucks, StreamYard is a fantastic option for you for live streaming. And if you have a computer that's intermediate or awesome, even in that case, if you wanna lean on the easy side of things, StreamYard is also a fantastic choice for you as well.

The thing that I really like about StreamYard is you just log into their website and then from that point on you click a few buttons and you are ready to go live. If you wanna pull in a guest or somebody to contribute to your live stream, all you have to do is just copy that link and you just send them that link, and when they do that same exact thing. They click on that link and then they log into StreamYard and then they come right into your live stream. After you click to give them permission of course. But as far as live streaming technology goes and making it easy for people, StreamYard knocks it out of the park.

2. Streamlabs OBS

Next on the list is Streamlabs OBS. Now Streamlabs OBS is like OBS, but in my opinion better. Streamlabs you can really take things to the next level. They have tons of built-in graphics and built-in scenes that you can use. They have all these widgets where you can add chat to your screen, you can have all these alerts popping up when people subscribe to your channel they donate to what it is that you're doing.
You can add multiple scenes, multiple crops to it look like you are using different cameras. You can also use a bunch of different cameras if you want to. The works. It does pretty much all the stuff that you need a live stream to do with the only exception of, it's really difficult to bring guests into Streamlabs at this point in time

3. OBS

Next on the list is OBS. OBS is amazing. It's the foundation that Streamlabs OBS was built on. However, with OBS you can't do as much as easily as you can inside of Streamlabs, which is why I always recommend Streamlabs OBS over OBS. But don't get me wrong if all you're doing is connecting a camera or a webcam to your computer and you're just streaming one scene up, OBS is fine or if you just wanna do multiple scenes, but if you really wanna level things up very easily, then you wanna be using Streamlabs OBS.

I just want to let you know about Streamlabs OBS and how awesome it is because if you're using OBS and you went through those tutorials, you can apply the same exact stuff to Streamlabs OBS, you can actually import your OBS settings within just a few minutes inside of Streamlabs. If you want, I'm just letting you know it's out there and it's available and it's awesome.

4. vMix

Next on the list is vMix. Streamlabs OBS was built more for gamers and more for content creators and more for that type of streamer people. vMix, on the other hand, is more of a professional solution, so if you're streaming for your business or if you are wanting to do things in a little bit more of a professional way without all the bells and whistles, that might bog things down a little bit, then, in that case, vMix might be the right choice for you, especially if you're doing things at a pro-level.

Another really awesome thing about vMix is that like StreamYard that I mentioned before, you can actually copy links out and you can send those links to people and you can bring them right in your streams. So if you're doing any type of guest interviews, if you're going live podcasts or recorded podcasts where you're pulling another guest into your stream, then in that situation vMix is a fantastic solution for you.

vMix can be a little bit more complicated to set up, however, it's extremely stable, which is very important when it comes to live streaming software and some of the built-in graphics that you get in vMix also have more of a professional look to them and not as much of a content creator look to them if that makes any sense.

These are my top 4 best live streaming software.

Now let's take a look at the best live streaming apps

Best Live Streaming Apps

1. Streamlabs

Streamlabs also has a mobile app and the really cool thing about the mobile app is it actually allows you to turn your phone into a live switcher and what that means is if you're streaming from your computer and you have a bunch of different scenes in your computer, you can actually tap on your phone and you can switch between different scenes, different crops off your camera, different graphics on the screen, whatever it is that you're doing. All you have to do is just tap on your phone on their remote and then it'll actually switch it on your computer, which is pretty awesome.

If you are just coming onto YouTube and you're just getting into live streaming and let's say you don't have the requirements yet to stream on your mobile device from the YouTube app, what you can do in that situation is you can also use the Streamlabs mobile app or another one of these apps in order to be able to stream directly onto YouTube even if you don't meet those requirements.

Available for both Android and IOS

2. Switcher Studio

Now if you wanna level things up when it comes to live streaming on your mobile device, you can use something called Switcher Studio. Switcher Studio lets you use a tablet or a phone as a control center, basically, it's just the hub we'll look at it that way and then multiple phones so that you can set up like a full production with, I think it's up to like four or eight different phones that you can plug into it wirelessly so that you can run a full multi-camera set up just for mobile devices

So if you are traveling around or let's say that you're going to a friend's place you're streaming for work, so you're going to all these different locations or something and you wanna have like a pro-level production with you all the time and you don't wanna carry around all these cameras and laptops and all that stuff, then you can just do it with a couple of phones and a tablet and then you're good to go. And if you don't have multiple phones or multiple tablets, then you can also just use your friend's devices as well for remote cameras when you need them.

These are some of the best live streaming apps which you can use to live stream in any live-streaming platform.

Last Words -

And I also wanna let you know if you are serious about live streaming or if you're just getting started in live streaming and you're trying to navigate all the complexities of it. put a course together that takes you through the process of setting up an entire live streaming studio so you can make sure that you're doing all of the right stuff with the right equipment, with the right software and all that that's best for you.
